Self-hosted AI reviewis AI-assisted document review that runs on the provider’s own infrastructure rather than a third-party AI service, so the document text is not sent to an external model API.
Why it matters
When document review is delegated to a third-party model API, the document text leaves the provider’s environment to reach that service. Self-hosting the model keeps the review computation inside the provider’s own infrastructure, so the text is used only to perform the review.
How DociCA applies it
DociCA runs AI review on a self-hosted model on its own Canadian infrastructure; the review path calls no third-party AI provider. This describes the review computation path only. DociCA is document-automation software, not a law firm, and does not provide legal advice.
