Beta Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the DociCA invite-only beta. By accessing the beta you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Not legal advice

DociCA provides document-automation software and templates — it is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Using the document generator or AI-assisted review does not create a solicitor-client relationship. Documents produced during beta are drafts for your review, are labelled as under lawyer review, and should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before you rely on or sign them. AI-assisted review provides automated issue spotting, not a legal opinion.

Beta service

The beta is provided free of charge, on an “as is” basis, for evaluation and feedback. Features may change, break, or be withdrawn. Access is invite-only and may be limited or revoked. Paid plans, lawyer review, insurance-backed guarantees, and e-signature are not active during beta.

Accounts and acceptable use

You are responsible for your account and for the accuracy of the information you enter. You must be of legal age in your province. Prohibited uses are set out in our Acceptable Use Policy.

Jurisdictional scope

DociCA beta supports Ontario and Alberta, plus selected federal/general documents. Templates are province-aware drafts and may not reflect the most current law; each shows its status. Do not use a document for a province it is not built for.

No guarantee during beta

No paid legal-accuracy guarantee and no insurance-backed guarantee are active during beta. We make no warranty that any document is complete, current, or fit for your specific situation.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DociCA disclaims all warranties and is not liable for any loss arising from use of the beta or reliance on any generated document or AI review. You use beta documents at your own risk and should obtain legal advice.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information, including document contents, AI processing, retention, and deletion.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
