AI Upload & Retention Notice
Last updated: June 2026 (Beta)
Beta. DociCA is in invite-only beta. These terms apply to beta use. DociCA is document-automation software, not a law firm, and does not provide legal advice. See our Beta Disclaimer.
This notice explains what happens when you upload a document for AI-assisted review. You are asked to consent to it before your first upload.
What we process
We process the text of your document to generate an issue summary and a review priority score. The document text is sent to the AI model to perform the review. It is not used to train AI models.
Where it is processed
By default, review runs on Canadian-hosted infrastructure. If you opt in to external cloud AI for a review, your document text may be processed by a third-party provider outside Canada. We show this choice before processing.
No redaction
We do not currently redact personal information before sending text to the model. Avoid uploading information you do not want processed, or remove sensitive details first.
Retention and deletion
Reviews are stored in your account so you can return to them. You can delete a review at any time; it is removed from active systems promptly. Because we keep encrypted database backups, deleted content may persist in backups and write-ahead logs for up to 7 days before being purged. We do not claim instantaneous deletion from backups.
